Ready to get started and open a BFCU Small Business Checking Account

Apply online or visit a local branch, and we’ll have you up and running in no time. Here’s what you’ll need to bring to open your account:

  • Proof Of Identity & Address
    • A valid driver’s license or state ID
    • Proof of your current address, such as a pay stub or utility bill
    • Your Social Security number (if you’re under 18 or don’t have established credit, bring the actual card, not just the number)
  • At least $5 for your savings account deposit (if you’re not already a member)
  • Proof of Business Documentation
    • Call and speak with a staff member about documentation that meets requirements.
  • Opening a joint business user account? Each person should bring their own proof of Identity & Address documentation.

Note: APY = Annual Percentage Yield. Dividends are compounded daily and credited monthly based on the average daily balance method. You must satisfy all of the requirements in our Truth in Savings disclosure during each qualification period to obtain the qualifying percentage yield. ATM fees may be refunded up to $25.00 on qualified accounts. If you close your account before accrued dividends have been credited to your account, all accrued dividends will be forfeited. Fees may reduce earnings. No minimum balance required, although $5 must be deposited into a Prime Savings Account in order to open a Grow Green Account. Balances over $15,000 earn .05% APY. If requirements are not met, the APY on all balances will be .05% APY and normal ATM fees will apply. This rate is effective as of 4/1/2023 and is subject to change.
