Baylands Family Credit Union is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Electronic Services Manager.  This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible to lead and oversee the organization’s financial operations and electronic financial service functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial systems management. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to support strategic financial decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in GAAP standards, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, along with experience utilizing advanced accounting software platforms such as ProfitStar, and similar systems.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Financial Management
  • Maintains the responsibility for ensuring complete financial, statistical, and accounting records for the credit union and the system(s) that support the reporting and data.
  • In coordination with the CEO, maintain responsibility for managing the investments and borrowing needs of the Credit Union to receive the best possible return and diversity.
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop realistic and achievable budgets
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide regular updates and analysis to the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long-term financial planning and decision-making; Responsible for preparing Asset Liability Management (ALCO) reports and maintaining the ALM system.
  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Actively involved in the growth and expansion of the Credit Union by being a part of the Leadership Team, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) and Risk Management Committee (RMCO)
  1. Tax Filing and Compliance
  • Oversee all tax filings and compliance requirements, ensuring that the organization is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial service providers to ensure compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Work with Supervisory Committee in coordinating auditors for year-end and other internal and external comprehensive audits around the credit union.  Also responsible for NCUA and/or State examinations as appropriate.
  1. Supervision and Team Management
  • Oversees daily operations of the Accounting & Electronic Services Department.
  • Responsible for maintaining policies and procedures within the department and assist with other policies and procedures as needed
  • Serves as consultant to the Consumer Lending Manager on the VISA program
  1. Accounting & Electronic Services
  • Responsible for monitoring daily cash needs and transfer of funds to/from corporate account as needed; Responsible for reconciliation of the corporate account which includes daily review & posting of any necessary entries & weekly comparison of the account statement to the GL.
  • Responsible for the overall ACH function of the credit union maintaining required education, in house procedures, and software.
  • Develops and implements operational procedures related to the Credit Union’s E-Services (ATM terminals, ATM/Debit cards, internet banking, mobile application, mobile remote deposit, and bill payment services)
  • Facilitate new products and changes to current programs
  • In coordination with HR Manager, responsible for maintaining and overseeing the payroll function of the credit union; this includes, processing the payroll semi-monthly, maintaining and balancing appropriate GL accounts, necessary reports are filed timely & accurately on behalf of the credit union.
  • Responsible for the preparation and timely submission of the Call Report for the NCUA.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Minimum of 2 years public or industry accounting experience or commensurate work experience; MBA or CPA license strongly preferred but not required. 
  • Must be analytical, demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and good problem solving. 
  • Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, work in accounting software and possess superior computer skills. 
  • Must also have exceptional and effective oral, communication, and writing skills. 
  • Acceptable credit rating and criminal background check.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software platforms and other financial management systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, tax processes, and cash flow management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, auditing practices, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

The Branch Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the credit union branch, ensuring exceptional member service, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. 

This role directly handles, leads and supports branch staff, manages member relationships, and helps drive sales of financial products and services.  Through hands-on leadership and active engagement, the supervisor plays a key role in meeting performance goals while fostering a positive, member-focused environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Team Leadership – Maintains a motivated, well-trained staff by supporting hiring decisions, overseeing ongoing training, and ensuring employees are current on security, robbery, and operational procedures.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight – Recommends and manages the annual branch budget while compiling and reporting required financial data to internal management and regulatory bodies.
  • Operations Monitoring – Tracks branch performance across transaction volume, loan activity, and account changes to ensure efficiency and sound business practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Enforces credit union policies and ensures the branch meets all federal laws and NCUA regulations, working closely with internal auditors on internal controls.
  • Member Account Services – Opens and services accounts, conducts new member orientations, approves consumer loans within assigned authority, and processes home equity loan draws as needed.
  • Staff Scheduling & Coverage – Assists the Branch Operations Manager with employee scheduling, including coverage at other branch locations and Saturday drive-through rotation.
  • Facility & Safety Management – Oversees building and grounds maintenance, manages the fire protection/evacuation plan, maintains safety equipment, and controls building security access.
  • Cash & ATM Management – Orders and distributes daily cash, supplies tellers and ATMs, and assists with balancing and loading ATMs and cash dispenser machines under dual-control requirements.
  • Member Communication & Problem Resolution – Handles member inquiries and transactions by phone, resolves complex account issues, and ensures a high-quality service experience across all interactions.
  • Community & Business Development – Promotes the credit union's goodwill by engaging with members, local businesses, and civic organizations, and participating in community events to grow visibility and membership.
  • Performance Monitoring & Training Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.  Train employees to maximize opportunities to offer products to our members 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent; College degree preferred
  • Experience in management at a CREDIT UNION or BANK
  • Three to five years of consumer lending & financial institution experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Acceptable credit rating and criminal background check
  • Anyone who has experience with banking, cash handling or customer service would translate well to this role.
