Member Service Representative I/II (New Kent)
Quinton, Va
Description:
The Member Service Representative (MSR) is responsible for providing quality customer service to members while following Baylands Family CU policies and procedures. The MSR plays a key role in daily branch operations, through building relationships with members, while focusing on service, security, and compliance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner.
• Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions providing constantly great service.
• Removes deposits from automated teller machines and night depository and counts and balances cash received.
• Accepts loan payments and complete funding disbursement of loans.
• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines check endorsements following established credit union policies and procedures.
• Respond to members' requests, problems, and complaints, whether in person, by e-mail or by phone resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance or make corrections and refunds on accounts if necessary.
• Promote & cross sell credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interview/account review. Maintain current knowledge of all credit union’s services and policies.
Required Qualifications:
• High School education or equivalent
• Minimum one-year financial institution experience preferred
• Acceptable credit rating and criminal background check

Branch Supervisor (New Kent)
Quinton, Va
Description:
The Branch Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the credit union branch, ensuring exceptional member service, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role directly handles, leads and supports branch staff, manages member relationships, and helps drive sales of financial products and services. Through hands-on leadership and active engagement, the supervisor plays a key role in meeting performance goals while fostering a positive, member-focused environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner.
• Opens new accounts and services existing accounts, set up new account files and provide members with all necessary information for membership. Conducts orientation interviews on credit union services and programs with new credit union members. Accepts and closes consumer loans within assigned level of authority
• Promote & cross sell credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interview/account review. Maintain current knowledge of all credit union’s services and policies.
• Recommends, implements, and oversees annual budgeting for the branch; compiles and reports financial data as required.
• Applies, evaluates and enforces the policies and procedures for the branch including Member Service Representatives and Financial Service Specialists. Ensures that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the NCUA and other regulatory agencies.
• Removes deposits from automated teller machines and night depository and counts and balances cash received.
• Contacts members, businesses in the community, and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
• Participates in company sponsored or approved community events that result in increased positive visibility for and understanding of our organization.
Required Qualifications:
• College degree preferred and 3-5 years of financial institution experience to include prior lending experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Must be detail-oriented with the ability to problem solve issues to a resolution.
• Must have good oral communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate and coach staff.
