April is National Credit Union Youth Month, a time when credit unions focus on teaching and encouraging kids to develop strong financial habits. This year, Baylands has adopted the theme "Adventure Awaits" and has planned various activities throughout the month to encourage youth to start learning about money and saving.
New Youth Account First $5 Offer*
If your child, teenager, or young adult does not have an account with BFCU, now is a great opportunity to open one! In April, BFCU is covering the initial $5 account opening fee for individuals age 17 and under. Youth Month Join & Win $75 Contest**
During April, open a new Youth membership account and deposit $20 or more into the new Savings or Student Checking account and the youth member will be entered into a random drawing to win a $75 Visa Gift Card! Three winners will be selected at random from eligible entries.
Youth Month Coloring Contest
During April, we will once again be holding a fun coloring contest. At the end of the month, two winners will be chosen from the submitted entries; one from each age group category.The two agre groups are Junior Savers (age 0 - 6) & Pre Teens (age 7 – 12) The selected winners will receive a one time cash deposit of $25 to their BFCU savings account!

To Submit Entry
• Bring your art creation to any BFCU Branch OR email a picture of your art creation to marketing@bfcu.org by no later than close of business on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
• All entries must include the artist’s first and last name, member number, the name and phone number of a parent and email for prize winner notification.
Other Activities
Help your young saver learn more and begin to have conversations about money from fun worksheets available at local branches. Your young saver can set a savings goal, with milestones and track their progress with the colorful Map Out Your Goals tracker. Or go on a mission to solve the Hike Up Your Savings word scramble.
